Expect the unexpected.
— From a person who's been there 5 times
Stick to the main roads on Google Maps — they're well-marked and safe. Locals are warm but most don't speak English (or even Vietnamese), especially the elders. Ha Giang is home to H'Mong and other ethnic communities with their own languages. Don't wander off-route without knowing where you're going — it gets remote fast. Honestly? A guide makes the whole thing better.
We handle everything — sleeper bus, homestays, meals, motorbikes, and a local driver who actually knows the roads. You just show up and enjoy the ride.

Each cabin is for 1–2 people (your choice at booking) with a curtain for full privacy and only 20 people per bus. The bed is almost 1m wide, quite comfortable.
Usually only departs from Ha Noi.

More rows, each berth around 60–80cm — snug but manageable. Has a curtain.
Heads up: they are just regular bus and nothing near tourist standard, often oversell during Vietnamese holidays. Solo female travelers, book the upper floor — you'll thank yourself later.

Don't expect anything for this kind. Just cheap. It is very common outside big cities, departures vary anywhere.
No privacy. Foreigners might draw extra attention (in a good way).
Time is not a thing with this kind. Good point is, there will be no limit here, you can even bring a motorcycle along.

What's here
Ha Giang is not only beautiful in destinations but also in the roads we travel. And sometimes, it doesn't have to be a famous or well-known check-in spot to be beautiful; sometimes just stopping by the roadside can offer enchanting scenery.

I've been to a lot of places across Vietnam. Nothing hits the same as Ha Giang. The first time I went, it got me — and every time I go back, it gets me a little more.
People here aren't performing hospitality. They're just actually like that — open, warm, real. The food they cook is what they grow and raise themselves. The corn wine they offer is from their own stash. Nothing here is for show.
The nature, the roads, the villages — Ha Giang doesn't feel like a destination. It feels like a place that exists whether you're there or not. Every stone, every river bend, every plant feels like it belongs. I love every bit of it.
Got more time? Our extended tours go deeper into northern Vietnam — or we can build something custom, wherever you want to go.
