Taxi

From Cam Ranh airport to Phan Rang, you can only go by taxi. There used to be a bus, but this route has now been canceled, probably because too few people took it. The price is also very reasonable, around 800k - 900k for a 4-seater car for a distance of 70km, which is very cheap when split. You don't need to book in advance either; there are always taxis waiting outside and you don't have to worry about them overcharging you. If you want to be more careful, you can check via apps first and negotiate the price with them. Personally, I don't think it's necessary.

Rent a bike

Motorbike rental: Cheap, only about 150k/day, very easy to rent, no complicated procedures at all. You can even ask your homestay to rent one for you. Since Ninh Thuan is very, very sunny, so sunny that it dries out the skin and burns like a frying pan, you need to wear full sun protection so you don't get too exhausted.

Tourist taxi

Very suitable for family trips or those who don't know how to ride a motorbike. The tourist taxi will go with you all day with flexible timing; they usually take you to all the famous spots and even suggest an itinerary for you. The price depends on the distances you choose, short trips are cheap, longer ones cost more, but it's still affordable, and 4-, 7-, and 16-seater vehicles are all available.

The time I think is the sunniest, but the sunnier it is, the more beautiful the sea gets. For Ninh Thuan, I prefer going in peak summer, like June or July; it's blindingly hot but undeniably beautiful.

November - March

Still the dry season, it is less sunny now, more pleasant, and the beaches are quite empty. It's just that the sea won't look as radiant with sunlight as in summer, but other than that, there's nothing to worry about.

Rainy season (August - end of October)

The storm and rainy season for Vietnam's coastal areas; tickets are cheap but it's a gamble. If it just rains, it's fine, but if there's a storm, you won't be able to do anything.
